Baby C is a GIRL!

And huge! She is about 10 ounces and 9 inches long. Holy moly! We're hoping for long and thin over here!

We went to the doctor yesterday and she said all is well. My uterus is measuring right on target. Now Timm knows how to measure so we should always have an accurate measurement of the uterus. The doc said at the 23 week mark, they start using the measuring tape to measure the belly, and they don't measure the uterus anymore. That should be an interesting experience. The doc also said that I look like one of the healthiest moms to be that she had seen that day. I don't know if I should be happy or disturbed about that. Needlesstosay, I washed my hands after leaving that appt.

We went over to Radiology to see if they had an opening for an U/S today and they did! It was an hour after we got there but the tech saw us in about 15 minutes. I am so happy! We got to see the kid and find out that she is a girl. Which we were both super excited about. Now on to the name game...

And for some pictures....

This is her looking straight at you. She has a little budda belly, which is a good thing because that means she is eating and peeing the right way.

Sucking her thumb...apparently this means that she is a smart baby. A kid with down syndrome might not figure out how to get their thumb in their mouth in the dark, underwater. So this means that she is right on target!

This is her little foot. The tech said, "look at her skinny, long foot." I cracked up!

18 Weeks...

18 weeks of pure baby awesomeness!

I never thought at 18 weeks that I would be disinfecting my house from the "swine flu." What a pain in the ass. UPDATE - no piggy flu here, just the common cold. The house still has been disinfected though.

Only 7 more days until we find out if Baby C is a boy or girl....any guesses?

Lots of crazy flutters yesterday! It was so super cute and yet, completely distracting in class. I swear we have a little dancer...maybe a hockey player? It is hard to say. I hope the kid gets stronger soon, Timm is itching to feel some kicking! He gets so excited when I announce any movement, he automatically goes to my belly thinking he will feel it. He is so excited.

He got the closet all ready for the kid's clothes. Thank goodness. I am worried about having space for everything once we know boy or girl, then we can start shopping! Also, everyone in the fam and in town has said that once they know what it is they will start shopping. So we're in for some serious stuff. I am just worried about space. We have a whole room but I don't want babyshit to explode to the other rooms in the house. I hate clutter so this whole babyshit thing is going to take some getting used to. Although, over the years, Timm has been really good at hiding things that I consider clutter and he can't bare to part with. So we make a good team? HAHA! Right? I wish he would throw shit away. But that's a topic for another day.

Boy or Girl?

Our appt to find out if we are having a boy or a girl is coming up in 10 days and now I am obsessed with trying to figure out if we are having a little Gaylord or not...

It's a boy if:
You didn't experience morning sickness in early pregnancy
Your baby's heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute
You are carrying the extra weight out front
Your belly looks like a basketball
Your areolas have darkened considerably
You are carrying low
You are craving salty or sour foods
You are craving protein -- meats and cheese
Your feet are colder than they were before pregnancy
The hair on your legs has grown faster during pregnancy
Your hands are very dry
Your pillow faces north when you sleep - but I did that before, does that count?
Dad-to-be is gaining weight, right along with you
Pregnancy has you looking better than ever
Your urine is bright yellow in color
Your nose is spreading
You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves in circles
You are having headaches
You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived and the sum is an even number

7 total for a boy...

It's a girl if:
You had morning sickness early in pregnancy
Your baby's heart rate is at least 140 beats per minute
You are carrying the weight in your hips and rear
Your left breast is larger than your right breast
Your hair develops red highlights - although my hair is red....does this count?
You are carrying high
Your belly looks like a watermelon
You are craving sweets
You are craving
You crave orange juice
You don't look quite as good as normal during pregnancy
You are moodier than usual during pregnancy
Your face breaks out more than usual
You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread
Your breasts have really blossomed!
Your pillow faces south when you sleep
Your urine is a dull yellow color
You hang your wedding ring over your belly and it moves from side to side
You add your age at the time of conception if it is an odd number it is a girl.

6 total for a girl....

We're tied. I got no where. Damn.

I just cleaned the entire house. She didn't get up. Once.

I am about to pull my hair out...

My aunt is driving me crazy. She does NOTHING around the house. Seriously, she will watch me clean. Or sit on the computer on her laptop while I am cleaning the house and then put her breakfast dishes in the sink and not wash them.

She doesn't clean her own cat's litterbox, he is the only one who uses it.

She hasn't paid for advantage for her animals in two months. We will probably pay for it this month too since we don't want to live in a flea infested house.

She didn't say anything about Timm registering the car.

She needs to move out. Her girlfriend is talking about moving here next March or April. She needs to move out faster than that. We are being taken advantage of and it is really starting to piss me off. She does nothing.

She thinks her contribution to the house is cooking. When you live with two other people who do EVERYTHING else, you can't only cook. And she rarely shops for food. She doesn't clean. I even cleaned the house when her girlfriend came into town because I didn't want her to think that we live like animals. We don't since I do all the cleaning but I left it for the last minute to see if she would do it.

It has gotten to the point now where she knows we will do it so she doesn't do anything. I can't live in a dirty house and I can't live with fleas. We have a fucking baby coming.

It is time for her to move out.

YES! I am so excited. I can finally feel the baby moving around in there. It feels like little popcorns popping or light little bumps from the inside. I am super excited. I can't wait to tell timm. I felt baby for the first time at 17 weeks, 1 day!

Here I am in all of my 17 week glory. Getting bigger by the second, I am sure of it. I am officially in maternity pants full time but still squeezing into my regular shirts. Except for the one in this picture, that's a maternity tank.

I really need to work on looking cuter in these pictures. I look like such a geek in all of them. Sigh.

Our next appt is next Thursday, hopefully Timm will be able to hear the heartbeat. My grandmother thinks I am having a girl because of the way I am carrying. But she's crazy, so who knows.

AND the sheep is moved to another pasture until Baby C is born. So now I can go to feed the horse without worrying about getting butted to the ground. He got me yesterday. It didn't hurt but it was enough that it freaked his owner out enough that she moved him. I am grateful.

We bought a crib and an organic mattress! Now we just have to wait to get 12 weeks. I am hoping that we get it much more quickly than that.

The color shown is "espresso" but we got it in a more natural wood color. Love it!

16 Weeks...

I wish I had something else to add other than weekly bump pics. But, alas, I am not that exciting. Without further ado, week 16 bump pic.

So the sheep still sucks. But Mom's boyfriend beat him up the other day so he isn't so bad now. Still annoying but it was much worse.

I am feeling much better. I am not so sleepy anymore. I am loving that. I don't need to nap everyday. I am happier if I can, and I do if I can, but it is no longer required.

I have to fit into and make this dress look adorable 4 months after giving birth to the kid. The dress will be in a delightful green color, which happens to look fabulous on me. So I sure hope that is the motivation I need to look fabulous postpartum.

15 Weeks....

Ignore the completely disturbed look on my face. But here I am in all my 15 week glory. Complete with cold sore. Ugh.

So begins the discussion of the MD vs RNP.

My mom really wants me to switch from the RNP I have to a MD. I just don't really care that much. I am not high risk and I am young and healthy. Why do I really need a MD at every appt. Isn't years of experience that counts, not the just the letters after your name? Ugh, I don't know. I should call and try just to get my mom off my back.

Feeding the horse everyday is an adventure. That damn male sheep hates me. He tried to butt me today, luckily I had a full bucket of pellets. I hit him in the head as hard as I can. He is a little more skittish now. But I wish he was afraid of the dogs. He doesn't run from them at all. Annoying. I want to hang out with the baby sheep but we aren't allowed to make friends. So I will keep letting the dogs chase them.

So Much For Dinner....

I wanted pizza. My first real craving since chicken strips. I wanted pizza bad. Timm went to Safeway to get a pizza you pop in the oven. Quick, easy , and cheap right? Well the new oven, really a hand-me-down from the grandparents actually but 40 years newer than our old stove/oven, ruined the pizza. I am pissed. It isn't cooking right. The pizza was covered in soot.

Seriously? I am pissed.

I never wanted to get rid of the old oven and I was out voted in the house and now, here we are, less than a week later and everyone is complaining about it already. It cooks too hot. The oven doesn't work.

I am annoyed.
Annoyed that I can't bake.
Annoyed that I don't have a good book to read.
Annoyed that it is only 7:30 and I can't go to sleep yet.
Annoyed that I can watch the game.

Annoyed. Pissed. And frustrated.

I wish we would have kept the old stove. At least I would be eating pizza right now.

It has been a while...

So officially 14 weeks, 2 days today.

Here is a wonderful picture in all my bloaty baby glory.
Its been a while and I feel like I should update although I don't really have much to add. My BFF picked a date and a place! Woohoo! Go her! 7.30.10. Hopefully I will be back to my pre-baby glory by then. But we shall see. These pics are going to be around forever and I don't want to have to hide behind people, ya know!
In other news, food is good. Been eating a lot. Ice cream is good. Chocolate soy milk is delicious. And Cheddar Bunnies are to die for. Also loving the citrus...oranges, tangerines, lemons, you name it, I might eat it.
I took the dogs swimming today. They lost another tennis ball. They are going to make me broke with all these darn tennis balls they keep losing. Ugh. I should check amazon for the biggest package I can find for cheap. I bet amazon has some that are cheap.
Oh and if one more person says to me, "Just wait until the baby comes." I might shoot them. This is how the convo usually goes:
Annoying person - How are you feeling, preggo? [side note - must you call me preggo, have I lost my name and identity because I am now pregnant? Um no. ]
Me - I feel pretty good, just a bit tired. I have been sleeping a lot recently. They say in the 2nd tri you feel the best. But I am still very tired.
Annoying Person - Oh just wait until the baby comes.
Here's the thing. I didn't come out and start complaining that I am tired. You asked and I answered. Get off my back. I know that raising a baby is going to be hard. Trust me, I am the first one to tell you that I am not looking forward to spending everynight awake for the rest of my life. I know I am going to be tired. Back off. I don't need the lecture.
And just because -
How far along? 14 weeks, 2 days
Maternity clothes? Nope, I am fighting it like you wouldn't believe and I have no idea why.
Stretch marks? Not yet. Going to buy more cocoa butter this weekend too. I am already out and I have been using it since 4 weeks, 5 days.
Sleep: Yes. Still napping almost daily as well.
Food cravings: Ice cream! Cheddar Bunnies. Fudgesicles.
Gender: 11/4 we find out! Hoping for a girl.
Labor Signs: Not yet.
Belly Button in or out? In. This beast is never going to pop out.
What I miss: Wine.
What I am looking forward to: Going to the pumpkin patch this weekend. Making a pumpkin pie and some soup.
Weekly Wisdom: Apparently I am not very wise, I still have nothing...
