Hangs head in shame....

I am embarrassed to be a Sharks fan.

The best team in the NHL lost in the first round of the playoffs. Obviously they aren't the best in the NHL. The only thing that matters is making it into the playoffs. Winning is what makes a team great.

I am still a fan. An embarrassed fan but a fan none the less.

Wow.

Update - Petrified Forest

Not worth the $7 we spent per person to walk through it.

We were expecting a couple hour hike with some cool dead trees to look at along the way. Ummm, not so much. It was about 1/4 mile circle with four petrified trees.

Can you say Lame? Um, I can. "LAME!"

Petrified Forest!

I have lived in Sonoma County for almost my entire life and I have never been to the petrified forest. So after completely wasting yesterday, today we are going to the Petrified Forest.

I am excited! Charley gets to go too. Hopefully I will get to take some good shots while we are there....

My handsome husband with the yummy dinner.

I love those Cadbury Mini Eggs too...so effing good it is ridiculous.

Easter Dinner

Easter is Sunday. Today is Thursday. I just found out I am hosting and cooking Easter Dinner at my house last night. So let the menu planning begin....

Here's what I am thinking:
Roast Lamb with scalloped potatoes and some veggie - maybe salad because it is easy or something we can grill easily.

But last night Dar said that nobody likes lamb. I do and I am cooking, so there. But since lamb will be slight expensive I am thinking less lamb and maybe a pork roast or a honey ham that we only have to heat up. I want to do something we can BBQ since the oven will be full of lamb. Maybe some tri-tip with a yummy rub or a steak with some kind of sauce. Hmmm, I am going to through people for a loop. They give me three days notice and they get lamb. I will just have to make extra sides. Easy enough.

I went to the Better Homes and Gardens website. Big mistake, now I have all these craft ideas that I want to accomplish too. Along with the food, the cleaning, and the shopping.
Just in case I don't have enough to go, I am going to make a game out of hunting Easter Eggs. I am going to get plastic eggs and some will be filled with candy and others will have points values. The person who gets the most points wins a prize, maybe movie tickets or a bottle of good wine?
I am also going to set up a table to dye Easter eggs outside. So hopefully the weather is nice.

Funny thing is, Timm is more worried about it than I am!
Here are some Easter Inspirations!

I will deff have to make two of these, one for the front door and one for the back door!
Gotta get to the craft store!

Instead of "happy spring" I could put each guest's name.
But I might just do Happy Spring because everybody can find their own place.

In case I don't have time to wrap a bunch of napkins, I can always do this! Everyone loves chocolate bunnies. I would keep them wrapped though!

Deff going to have this centerpiece. I might die the eggs and use white flowers or leave the eggs white and use colored flowers.

There is Nothing Sexier...

than a husband who cooks dinner. Almost every night.

I love my husband.

Some Random Thoughts...

Sometimes I think that having a baby would be awesome. Most of the time not so much. Most of the time I find myself daydreaming about having a baby or being pregnant. But then I think of labor and getting fat and the tears that my poor, poor coochie would have to endure and then I think that it isn't worth it. Then the thoughts of the teen years emerge and that really sends me in the other direction.... running actually.

The other day we took Charley swimming with her two dog sisters and Timm brought up taking our unborn children fishing, swimming, staying up with them at night, having them in the next room so they wouldn't have to go far if they had a bad dream in the night. That makes me think, "awwww, soooo cute. Maybe having a kid would be more awesome than I would think." But then the thoughts of lost freedom run through my mind and the fact that I won't be able to drink for 9+ months. What?! No wine = unhappy Ashley. And no, one glass just isn't enough. Damn.

So really I feel bad for Timm. I do. He wants kids and I just don't. That is the shitty reality of it all. He gave me two years. Not that he would divorce me if I still wasn't ready but I just don't wannaaaaa (whine).

Now another reason I don't want to have kids....TEFL Certificate. Teaching Abroad. I want to do it in South Korea. I can bring my dog. She'll have to fly and stay in quarantine for 1 day. But having my dog live with me in Korea for a year?! Let's do it! Timm can go too, if he gets his TEFL. Now the negotiations begin. I can already hear it, "I will have a kid in two years if you go to Korea with me for one."

I laugh.

I ordered a macro filter set from Amazon on Saturday and it arrived yesterday (still waiting on my 50 1.8, crosses fingers it arrives today!). When Timm looked at it he noticed a chip on the lens of one of them. I shook it off, no big deal, we'll just return it. I call the company this morning, Ace Photo Digital, and they are just going to send out a new one. I don't have to return the others! So now I have two off all of them except the broken one. Maybe I should try to sell them?! I love good customer service!

Happy Birthday Charley and Rizzo!

I saw this today in the internet and it got me thinking.

"More is lost be indecision than the wrong decision."

I really want to get my TEFL certificate and teach in another country. Timm is too scared that he won't be able to teach. I think he could. Kara said one of her lessons was to teach her students the Lion King song. The lessons are already there so there is no planning involved. I want to do it.

Charley's birthday yesterday was awesome! I took Charley and Mya swimming and we lost another ball. I didn't bring the camera because I had too much to carry....the two dogs, the chuck it. I was afraid I would break it. But I did get pictures of their fabulous dinner we made them. Chicken, rice, and steemed carrots on dinner plates. Yes, they are mighty spoiled.

Little Mya was so sleepy when it was all over.

The dog party was a mighty success!
